We're glad to announce the CALL FOR ABSTRACT for the 2nd Annual Conference of the Liver Transplantation Society of India LTSICON 2019 to be held from 15th November to 17th November 2019 in Kochi, India.

Guidelines

  • All abstracts should be submitted online through the abstract portal
  • Abstracts must be original and must not have been published
  • All abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • The length of the abstract body should not exceed 300 words. The online submission module will not accept abstracts that exceed this word limit. One table is allowed (in word format). Figures and graphs are not permitted in the abstract.
  • Please add all the details of presenting author and the corresponding author in the correct author sequence with the institutes they are affiliated with
  • Please specify the preferred mode of presentation i.e. oral or poster
  • For the selection of the abstract for oral/poster presentation, the decision of the Abstract Review Committee will be final.
  • All the abstracts accepted for the presentation in the LTSICON 2019 will be published in a Supplementary issue of Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology. By submitting an abstract to the Liver Transplantation Society of India, authors grant the permission to the Liver Transplantation society of India to publish their abstracts online and in print as part of the supplementary issue of Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology.

Structure

Abstract should be structured within the following headings:

  • Introduction: (indicate the purpose of the study or hypothesis that was tested)
  • Methods: (include the setting for the study, the design of the study, the subjects, methods, and the type of statistical analysis)
  • Results: (present as clearly as possible the outcome of the study and statistical significance, if appropriate)
  • Conclusion: (briefly discuss the data and emphasize the significance of the results)

Important Information

  • Free Registration to conference will be given for the presenting author for the presentation of the paper
  • All submissions shall go through a peer review process by a pre-selected Abstract Review Committee. The decision of the peer review committee will be final.
  • Authors selected for oral and poster presentation will be informed by Oct 15, 2019. Notification and instructions will be sent to the author’s e-mail address provided at the time of abstract submission
  • Abstracts selected for presentation will be published during the conference. The abstract will be printed from the electronically submitted material. Every effort will be made to reproduce the content of the abstracts as submitted. The Abstract Review Committee will not proof-read or correct spelling, typographical, grammatical, or scientific errors, nor can changes be made once the abstract is submitted
  • Detailed information on the presentation format and submission procedures (i.e. duration and timing of the presentation, size of poster) will be emailed to all the delegates whose papers have been accepted by the Abstract Review Committee
  • All abstracts will be screened for plagiarism using appropriate software

Review of Abstract

All the abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Abstract Review Committee and a decision will be emailed to the corresponding author of the abstract.
The Abstract Review Committee reserves the right to change submission for oral presentation to posters depending on the number, theme and quality of submissions.
All abstracts will be subjected to blinded peer review by Abstract Review Committee. The following general guidelines will be followed for the review of the abstract:
  • Originality of the Work
  • Clarity of Idea
  • Appropriate Study Design and Methodology
  • Implications for Advancement of Knowledge and Practice
  • Conflict of Interest and Ethical Issues
Authors are requested to adhere to the following guidelines while preparing their abstracts. This will greatly facilitate the review process.

Plenary session Award

  • For consideration of your paper for consideration of presentation in the Plenary Session you should submit full manuscript of your work to the secretariat. Soft copy by email: mathew@transplantationliver.com and ltsicon2019@gmail.com
  • Six papers will be selected for presentation in the Plenary Session of LTSICON 2019
  • Papers must not have been published/accepted at the time of submission
  • All the paper will be reviewed by a panel of judges. The result of the selection of the paper will be intimated to the corresponding author
  • There are three awards for papers presented during the Plenary Session.

Young Investigator Award

  • For consideration of your paper for consideration of presentation in the Young Investigator Award session, you should submit full manuscript of your work to the secretariat
    • Soft copy by email: mathew@transplantationliver.com and ltsicon2019@gmail.com
    • Five sets of hard copy by courier or speed post to reach the secretariat by 1st Oct 2019.
  • Any member of LTSICON is eligible for submission of his/her paper for Young Investigator Award.
  • Applicant should be less than age of 40 years.
  • All the paper will be review by a panel of judges
  • Papers must not have been published/accepted at the time of submission.
  • The result of the selection of the paper will be intimated to the corresponding author
  • There are two awards for papers presented during the Young Investigator Award

Poster Award

There are three awards for Posters papers presented during the LTSICON 2019

Rejection of Abstract

LTSICON 2019 reserves the right to reject abstract based on the following criteria:
  • If the abstract does not comply with the style guidelines; including excessive length,
  • If the abstract is incomplete
  • If the abstract contains inappropriate content, and
  • If the abstract fall outside of the scope of the meeting.
